Hi there! I'm Sophie

I see data everywhere - just waiting to be visualised. For over twelve years, I've been using data to tell visual stories, start conversations, and help people connect with each other. And I want to help you tell your story with data.

I started my career in data working with Tableau to help organisations make sense of their data. But I kept noticing something: the most powerful data moments happened when we made things hands-on, creative, and a bit unexpected.

So I went back to uni (full-time, because why do things by halves?) to study MA Design for Data Visualisation at University of the Arts London. That's where I strengthened my practice in hand-made, participatory, and experiential data viz - from Riso printing to sticker charts to all the playful ways data can come alive.

Now, I'm an independent information designer working as Sparkes Creative - where data gets the creative treatment it deserves. Whether I'm live-illustrating at your conference, designing data badges that turn networking into conversations, or running workshops that get your team thinking differently about charts, my goal is always the same: make data feel human.
